Sheila Forrest reflects on the LVI Retreat

When I arrived at the retreat, situated with a gorgeous backdrop of Lake Cowichan,I had no idea what to expect.  I was nervous and uncertain about what would transpire over the course of the weekend.  Between the incredibly thought-provoking discussions and group exercises, the one-on-one coaching and assortment of activities, books, journaling, and yummy food, my nerves were quickly quieted.  The retreat opened my mind to new possibilities!  I am so grateful to have had this opportunity to learn, share, and connect.  The environment was casual with a sprinkle of playful, which made me feel safe to share and to be myself.  I am excited to see how these foundational ideas and concepts will be built upon this year – through our community project, our relationships with each other, and within myself.  I feel like a new bud about to blossom!
